Once again the JPC ranges played host to the the JPA Channel Islands Open, from the 1st to the 4th of June this year. The weather was fantastic and it was great to have some guests over from Guernsey as a precursor to the Island Games next month. A good weekend of shooting was had, including a PB in Air Pistol for Sarah Chalker and a very eventful Standard Pistol match that was educational for all involved!
Thanks to everyone who took part and helped out on the ranges, in particular to Richard Bouchard for running the air pistol event, Mary Norman for covering catering duties and as ever to ISSF judge Barbara Barber and husband/assistant Robert for ensuring that targets were scored and refaced efficiently throughout the weekend. We look forward to facing off with Guernsey and all the other islands in just 4 short weeks time!
