This afternoon we held the JPC Pocket Pistol Trophy on the Bob Blake 25m Range. 30 shots precision, 6 series of 5 shots, 5 minutes for each series. A series of sighting shots in a 5 minute period maybe fired prior to the Competition series. 30 shots rapid fire in 6 series of 5 shots. During each series, the Target appears 5 times, each time for 3 seconds with a 7 second pause between each appearances. One shot to be fired during each appearance. Eight shooters, (including newcomer Andy Mohinta) on the firing line, ready to see if they had what it takes to claim the trophy.
The match was split into two details because of gun shares. After precision series was finished, Keith Videgrain posted a score of 292 ex 300, just one point back was Ben Videgrain and Andrew Ruellan. As the rapid series can to a close things changed around and still only by one point, but this time in Ben’s favour. So as the scoring came to an end we had a tie. Both Keith Videgrain and his son Ben posted a score of 571 ex 600, but on countback and with a X tally of 21 to Ben’s 18, This years winner of the Pocket Pistol Trophy with the borrowed pistol goes to Keith Videgrain.
