Today 23/5/21 we held the 9mm Trophy Competition on the 25m Bob Blake Range.
This is a 60 shot match, which is shot in three details, 4 series x 5 shots in 150 seconds, 4 series x 5 shots in 20 seconds & 4 series x 5 shots in 10 seconds. A maximum score of 600 is possible.
A total of eight shooters took part in this event, four in Class A & four in Class B, all eager to get their hands on the silverware. Up for grabs in Class A, the MIKE KEMP CUP and in Class B, the Class B Shield.
After the first detail (150 second) was complete, scores were very close between a few of the shooters, both Ben Videgrain and his father Keith (Class A) posted a 198 ex 200, followed by Sumit Singh and Pieter Williams (Class B) with 196 ex 200. At the end of the 20 second detail, Ben & Keith were still out in front in Class A, with Ben scoring 193 ex 200 and Keith one point behind with 192 ex 200 & Pieter was now out in front in Class B with 192 ex 200. The final detail is where it can all be won or lost, who would keep their cool ?
Ben was on form in Class A and posted a final score 189 ex 200 & Pieter in Class B posted his final score 177 ex 200.
