Man versus Man Rules and Course of Fire

The following are the rules, regulations, and course of fire governing Man versus Man Pistol Competitions held by the Jersey Pistol Club.

Pistols:
  • Any centrefire pistol or revolver .30 and above.
Sights:
  • Any metallic
  • Orthoptics are not allowed.
Grips:
  • Orthopaedic-type grips are not allowed in this competition.
Safety:
  • Any safety that is fitted must operate.
Trigger:
  • In the opinion of the Range Officer the trigger must be safe.
Ammunition:
  • To be supplied by the competitor.
  • Magazines to be loaded with six (6) rounds for each practise.
Shooting Distances:
  • 10 to 50 Metres
Course of Fire:
  • Each pair of competitors will start from a fixed line.
  • On an audible signal, both competitors move to the shooting line and engage the three (3) targets.
  • When all three (3) targets are down, competitors must perform a compulsory reload and engage their final targets.
  • Semi-automatics are limited to six (6) rounds per magazine, and start with pistol loaded but not chambered.
  • Revolvers limited to six (6) rounds per cylinder, and start with chamber loaded and unlocked.
Notes:
  • This competition will be shot as a straight knock-out, or a round robin, depending on the numbers of entries.
