Black Powder Pistol Rules and Course of Fire

The following are the rules, regulations, and course of fire governing Black Powder Pistol Competitions held by the Jersey Pistol Club.

Pistols:
  • Muzzle loading and chamber loading black powder revolvers.
Sights:
  • Fixed sights as per MLAGB/MLIAC International rules.
Trigger:
  • In the opinion of the Range Officer the Trigger must be safe
Positions:
  • CLASS A shooters (ISSF or NON-ISSF) will shoot ISSF style one handed.
  • CLASS B shooters (ISSF or NON-ISSF) may use both hands to hold or steady the pistol.
Targets:
  • International 50 metre UIT / PL7 Targets
Shooting Distances:
  • 25 metres
  • 50 metres
Course of Fire:
  • Practice 1: 25 metre Revolver.
  • Practice 2: 25 metre Revolver.
  • Practice 3: 50 metre Revolver.
  • Practice 4: 50 metre Revolver.
  • Time limit: 30 minutes per practice.
Notes:
  • Scoring: Best 10 from 13 shots per practice, 50% over the line to count high. (MLAGB rules apply)
