Action Revolver Rules and Course of Fire

The following are the rules, regulations, and course of fire governing Action Revolver Competitions held by the Jersey Pistol Club.

Pistols:
  • Any centrefire revolver .354 calibre or above.
  • Minimum bullet weight 148gn.
Sights:
  • Any metal sights which may be adjustable, any colour
  • Orthoptics not allowed
Grips:
  • Any wood, plastic or rubber grips which properly pit the pistol
  • Orthopaedic-type grips are not allowed in this competition
Safety:
  • Any safety that is fitted must operate
Trigger:
  • In the opinion of the Range Officer the Trigger must be safe
Positions:
  • Various.
  • Both hands may be used to hold or steady the pistol, unless otherwise instructed by the course of fire.
Ammunition:
  • Sixty-six (66) rounds to be supplied by the competitor
  • Magazines to be loaded with 6 rounds only for each practise
Targets:
  • Various
Shooting Distances:
  • Various from 10 metres to 50 metres
Course of Fire:
  • To be advised on the day of the competition.
Notes:
  • By Calibre
  • Minor: 9mm and .38
  • Major: .40, 10mm, .44, and .45.
  • Scoring
  • Minor: A=5, B=3, C=3, D=1
  • Major: A=5, B=4, C=3, D=2
